An interdisciplinary team consisting of engineers and clinicians have at RWTH Aachen University have formed a taskforce to develop a simple robotic device for mechanical ventilation, that can be build with a standard low-cost FDM 3D-Printer. The device automatically squeezes widely available bag valve masks (BVMs, “Ambu-bags”).
